Catherine Ghyoot is International Aid / Cooperation Officer for Science, Technology and Innovation in the Unit “Regional and Multi-Country Programmes for Africa” at the DG for International Partnerships in the European Commission. She joined the European Commission in 2008 and was in charge of regional climate change and renewable energy programmes with Latin America. She joined the Africa Directorate in 2019 to be in charge of Science, Technology and Innovation for regional and multi-country programmes. A bio-engineer by training, she was an environmental expert in various international and private organisations before joining the European Commission.
